On Monday, November 24, the Northeast Frankford Boys & Girls Club celebrated family week by hosting a Family Literacy Night.
Our teens have been working with our elementary youth for weeks on literacy skills. To culminate their project they decided to host a family literacy night.
Youth played games such as “sight word tic-tac-toe”, “create your own story”, “stack ‘em sight words, “create a match”, “punctuation toss”, and “zap it.” Teens also introduced some technology by having younger youth play word and reading games on tablets.
It was a fun an educational evening for all — thank you to all the parents who joined in the fun!
