The first Club in Philadelphia was established in 1887 in Germantown. In FY 2008, we expect more than 15,000 kids to pass through our doors. Our Clubs offer activities that range from homework tutoring to cooking classes to flag football leagues. We change the lives of our members not only by offering academic programs, but also by teaching them life skills that advance intellectual, social, emotional, and moral education.
By reaching children at an early age and providing them with encouragement, we give them an alternative to youth crime, gangs, drugs, and other negative influences. Today our Clubs give the youth of this city a safe place to learn and grow, as we have for over 120 years.
