Volunteer
Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia always need volunteers to assist our staff in guiding children and adolescents in a positive direction. Share your knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm by helping boys and girls develop the skills they will need to be successful citizens.
Volunteer
Contribute your time and talent
Help guide Philadelphia youth to a rewarding future. A few of the many ways you can volunteer include:
- Conducting a class in computer graphics
- Coaching or assisting in a sports league
- Assisting with homework help and/or tutoring
- Giving musical instrument lessons
- Conducting a dance, aerobics, or yoga class
- Starting a drama or music group
- Supervising members on field trips
- Organizing a group "day of caring" to beautify a Club
Activities are planned in small groups, so that each young person can have opportunities to excel and to build their confidence with a caring adult.
We also have opportunities to assist our Marketing & Development department (located in Center City) with various office tasks.
Our Clubs are open from 7:00AM - 6:00PM Monday - Friday, with some Clubs having extended evening hours. Please contact Andrea Woodle, Director of Human Resources with your area(s) of interest at woodlea@bgcphila.org or fax resume to (215) 735-8549 if interested in volunteering.
