The Thomas Eakins Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, the largest one-day rowing event in the world, has named Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia exclusively as the charitable beneficiary of the “Picnic in the Park” lunch and auction tent event on Saturday, October 29th.
Friends and Board members volunteered and attended as Regatta spectators, watching over 10,000 scholastic, collegiate, masters and adaptive rowers compete in events throughout the day. Thanks to the host boathouse, University Barge Club; the event company, Admark; and Board and vendor support, the event grossed over $6,000. Proceeds support Boys & Girls Clubs programming.
