BGCP supporter State Representative Rosita C. Youngblood
visited our Germantown Club, January 18, 2007, for "Jump Start the New Year," a
holiday fair and community awareness event. Youth, parents and friends
from Germantown and Nicetown BGCs enjoyed activities and refreshments before
BGCP Chief Operations Officer Jack Law welcomed all in attendance.
Rep. Youngblood then greeted the participants and held an
open forum for young people to share how the Clubs enrich their lives, what
hopes they had for the futures, and what commitments they had made to improve
themselves and their communities. In the BGCP spirit, the evening ended on a note of hope and promise for the future.
Thank you to the Honorable Rosita Youngblood for her
continued support as well as thanks to the Germantown BGC staff who make all
the arrangements for this inspiring event!
