PGA Golfer Jim Furyk Hosts 10^th Annual Gala On The Green

Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia Is Selected As Beneficiary

Philadelphia, PA, May 23, 2008 – On Sunday, June 1^st, PGA Tour star Jim Furyk will host the 10^th annual Gala on the Green sponsored by Susquehanna Bank and Wealth Management at the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, PA to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. Each year, the Gala takes place the evening prior to the Exelon Invitational presented by CBIZ, the only annual professional golf tournament in the Delaware Valley. In addition to Furyk, this year’s Invitational will feature golfers KJ Choi, Steve Stricker, and Aaron Baddeley.

Since its inception, the annual Exelon Invitational Gala live and silent auction has raised nearly $1 million for local charities. The event doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the exciting live auction taking place at 7:30 p.m. This year’s silent and live auction includes opportunities to caddy for each golfer, autographed sports memorabilia, concert tickets, a 5 night vacation to Hawaii and much more.

Philadelphia’s luxury boutique steakhouse, Barclay Prime, will play culinary host to nearly 400 guests at the Gala. The renowned Steven Starr restaurant, located at 237 South 18th Street,features an indulgent steakhouse menu with a subtle contemporary twist. Lighting the grill at Barclay Prime is Executive Chef James Locascio, who will graciously oversee the preparation of culinary favorites from the 1970s and beyond.

The Exelon Invitational presented by CBIZ is the only annual professional golf tournament in the Delaware Valley featuring PGA Tour players. The Jim Furyk hosted four-ball match, where PGA Tour pros compete for a purse of $300,000, attracts an average crowd of 10,000. Selected proceeds raised during the weekend’s events benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. Since its inception, over $950,000 has been raised for charity.
