The Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia is
pleased to announce the election of Brett Matteo and Chelsea Badeau to the
board of directors, effective July 1, 2008. New officers were also elected for a
2-year term: Richard Wegryn of Cozen O’Connor, Chairman; Michael Colavita of Sunoco,
Vice Chair; Tobey Daluz of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, Vice Chair;
John Shimp of Ameriprise Financial Services, Vice Chair; Robert Clark of PricewaterhouseCoopers,
Treasurer; and Sandra Romaszewski of Fox Rothschild, Secretary.
"We are very pleased to welcome Brett and Chelsea to our board," said Jeffrey Waldron,
Chief Professional Officer, BGCP. "They will bring new insights with personal and professional
experiences that we know will help us continue to fulfill our mission of helping young people in
the Philadelphia region."
As Partner/Managing Director of Public Financial Management, Brett Matteo works
state and local governments and other governmental entities to develop, optimize,
and implement strategic and capital plans, focusing primarily on the higher education and
not-for-profit sectors. He has a M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania, a M.A. in Geology from the University of Missouri and a B.A. in
Geological Oceanography from Duke University.
Chelsea Badeau is Managing Editor of Comcast Interactive Media and has a Bachelor
of Arts in Video Communications from Arcadia University. She is one of 22 siblings,
many of whom are adopted. Chelsea resides in West Mount Airy with her
husband and 3-year-old daughter.
